The cave was dark, like many other things in Bruce’s life. It was a darkness he had grown familiar with, and had adopted. ‘Then why’, he thought to himself, as he sat alone in the shadows of his familiar abode, ‘do I feel so out of place’. Bruce heaved a ragged sigh, and placed his knuckles to his chin. His blue sullen eyes pierced the gloom that hung throughout the cave towards the symbol he had dedicated his life too.
Across from Bruce, in a glass container on display was that symbol. The suit of Batman, that had once been familiar to Bruce, appeared almost alien to the aged man. The now red symbol of a bat boldly emblazoned on the breastplate, and the empty sockets glared back into Bruce’s blue eyes.

But the Dark Knight quickly deflected the blade with one of his gauntlets, which brought an immediate counter from the attacker as she followed the momentum of his deflection and spun around and performed a back-kick that did hit him, making the Vigilante fall into a backwards roll, quickly recovering into a kneeling position as he found himself back to having some space between them.
